Such an incredible night! I loved hosting this years event at Coto Valley Country Club, it was so beautiful! And, the flowers were absolutely stunning designed by Grow Dirt and Decor, Mandy Garrett.
Thank you SO much to all my amazing sponsors, you all were so incredibly generous and therefore we were able to raise over $18,400 this year for Breast Cancer Angels which will give the ENTIRE AMOUNT to women going through breast cancer treatment in Orange County who need the financial assistance!
We walked up the red carpet then had our photos taken by Scott Farrell, had a delicious dinner served by Tutto Fresco, wine poured with a smile by Stacey Espinosa while others sipped on craft beers poured by the Laguna Beach Brewing Company all while having our photos and video taken by Property Media Services.
Guests won killer silent auction items and names were called for opportunity drawings including gift cards to many local restaurants, pet stores, nail salon's etc!
I gave a short story about how MAMMOGRAMS HAVE A HARD TIME FINDING CANCER IN WOMEN WITH DENSE BREASTS. I had a mammogram in 2013, 2014 and FEB OF 2015 and was diagnosed 3 MONTHS after my last mammogram with stage 2B Breast cancer, my mass was 4.9 cm! It was so big when I laid on my side it stuck out...yet a mammogram did not see that!?!?!?
Also, I reminded everyone how IMPORTANT IT IS TO DO SELF-EXAMS, (roll side-to-side as well, while examining), because even after a double mastectomy, cancer can grow again in your breast, and again like the 1st time this past April, I found another lump). The MRI and ultrasounds I had after my double mastectomy did NOT detect it.
After two more surgeries this past April and May, then a PET scan that was beyond nerve-wracking, I'm happy to report my blood work and all else looks good! Thank goodness I caught it EARLY for this second go around! Do your SELF EXAMS!!!!
After my speech and many thank you's. I was sure ready to dance the night away as we did to music by Rick Hettish.
Thank you all for coming, I hope it was a night to remember! Enjoy this video and a link to our photos!
